Scientific residence at the School of Art and Design of Valence – Fourth workshop

The fourth workshop involving PROTECT and ESAD, school of Art and Design of Valence, took place on 12-14 February 2024.

This workshop aimed to stage the physical and digital spaces of the SUBMERSION exhibition, as well as the unfolding of the central room showcasing future scenarios of sea-level rise. Thus, two groups took on the responsibility for two different segments of the exhibition: the design of the digital edition and the graphic and narrative deployment of the immersive video.

These working groups collaborated closely throughout the workshop with the PROTECT team—Gaël Durand, Anne Chapuis —and Alizée De Pin to artistically address the scientific, political, and ethical challenges of PROTECT.
